In Snow White, Following comments by Peter Dinklage alleging the original film depicted the dwarfs in a negative light, Disney announced on January 25, 2022, that they would approach the characters differently, while also consulting members of the dwarfism community. Many fans of the original including Dylan Postl pointed out that many of Dinklage’s remarks were incorrect. For one, he said the dwarfs didn’t live in a cave. They actually lived in a cottage and worked in a diamond mine.
